Craft Mutiny

We went Christmas shopping at the Craft Mutiny Holiday Trunk Show in DC. We are trying to buy Handmade and Local this Christmas. It's better for the earth and more fun!

Black Friday

Brian knit a hat in three hours in preparation. We got to Target at 5:40a and stood in line for the 6a opening. We then got Starbucks and headed over to Macy's for a half off espresso maker. We have always wanted an Italian one, but could never justify the price. Now we have our pretty latte bar in the kitchen.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Last year, D was just a couple days old and I was still recovering, so Thanksgiving was kinda painful (learning to breastfeed, not being able to walk yet...). But this year, we had fun introducing her to all the Buxton/Evans/Lett traditions.
We watched the parade, ate a big breakfast (D can have egg now!), and pardoned a turkey. Then we headed over to Aunt Kathi's for more festivities.
I forget that people still think pilgrims and "indians" at Thanksgiving. I am trying to teach her it is just a day to usher in the Christmas season and think about how blessed we are. We will get into the bloody truth later. (once I research more myself)
We had a scrumptious vegetarian feast and played family feud with the cousins.

Birthday Week: Anticipated Gift

We got her Birthday Doll from Aunt Angie today! She is GORGEOUS! I hid the accessories for a later date, since everything is being used for teething comfort lately.
